Well, the time I visited this restaurant was about 1.5 years ago, I believe. It was one of those days when I just drove around and came upon this restaurant. I was so full that I left with my leftovers and without paying attention to the name of the restaurant and the exact location. I have been craving good Shanghainese food ever since. Today, haha, I drove around again and...found it! 2 eyes, 2 nose, 2 hands, 2 legs 1 nose, and 1 mouth...yet I wanted to order everything. However, I ended ordering: 1. Fish filet in wine sauce: Man o man, it was sooo good. And added to the rice, yum. 2. Cured pork (zhen jiang xiao rou): I have not found this dish in other restaurant. I like the fact this is cold (the way it should be) not room temperature. With the vinegar and ginger slices, ...great appetizer for this hot weather. 3. Spicy shredded port with bamboo shoots (yu xiang rou si): Good with rice. It is not too spicy but has a good kick to it. 4. Tofu skin with veggie and beans (xue chai bai yei mao dou): I really don't know the name od this dish in English, but it is a good veggie dish. 5. Shanghainese egg roll: OMG, it was pipping hot when it came out and...dang...delicious!! It was crispy and juicy. If I hadn't started to eat the other dishes, man...I would have eaten at least 2! This is a legitimate Shanghainese restaurant. Lunch special (very well priced and good quantity) is served on Mondays theiugh Fridays, except holidays and weekends. It should be noted that the phone never stopped ringing as people were making reservations and ordering pick-ups. One more thing...the boss lady is very, very friendly and attentive.

Wow ... my mom (who says no one can cook as tasty Chinese food as she does) actually likes this place! Super small place tucked in the middle of a strip mall ... that you'll miss if you blink. But super good and nothing fancy ... reminded me of home cooking with authentic dishes that you can't always find. Service was spot on and very attentive. We ordered 6 lunch dishes from $10.99 - $12.99 each for 4 of us and it was more than enough. I believe dinners are maybe about $2 more per dish that are a little larger.

So many delicious, flavorful dishes to choose from in a hole-in-the wall restaurant. A bit of a language barrier, but the servers are super friendly and accommodating. Also, they are closed on Thursdays.

Standard Shanghainese cuisine. It's tasty. Service is going to be your standard mom and pop shop so expect nothing more than some tough impatient love. But honestly that's just how Chinese food spots are built in this area. It's hot and muggy inside, but again that's expected. The food is good and better than your fast food joint. Pro tip: if you pay in cash, they give you a free black sesame glutinous dessert.
